English for people who already know the words

You know the words.
Now read the sentences.

Enlio turns real news into your daily English practice. Every evening an AI curator picks articles you'll actually enjoy, then helps you untangle each sentence — and everything you learn goes straight into training.

The gap nobody teaches

Many of us crammed thousands of words for school exams. Yet a real article still feels like a wall: every word looks familiar, but the sentence doesn't add up.

Reading — Tropa

A separate reading space with an AI curator, a smart reader and a breakdown for every sentence.

Evening pick

Three real articles, chosen for you every evening

Each day Claude reviews fresh articles from 29 open sources — AI, tech, sport, science and more — and prepares a pick for your evening reading.

  • A short taste questionnaire, then it learns from your likes, dislikes and "too easy / too hard"
  • "You know 84%" — see how many words in an article you already know before you open it
  • Reading time estimated from your own reading speed
  • Request a new source, and future learners will get it too

Smart reader

Tap a word. Tap again for the whole phrase.

The reader is built for people in the middle: you know most words, and you need help exactly where the meaning breaks.

  • Translation by context, not by dictionary guess — one tap, then "add to dictionary"
  • Second tap selects a chunk of several words to translate together
  • "Before you read": six key unknown words of the article, ranked by how much they matter
  • Phrases from your dictionary are underlined in any form — look after → looked after

Formula → core → details

Long sentences stop being scary when you see how they're built. For every sentence Enlio shows the tense formula, strips it to its core, then adds the details back one by one.

  • 3–5 key sentences per article are marked ✦ — the ones worth understanding fully
  • "Translate in chunks" first, then the whole sentence
  • Phrases and grammar notes right where you need them
  • After the article — a quick drill with the words you saved from it

Words & phrases

Your own dictionary, collected from what you read and watch — and trained until it sticks.

Personal dictionary

Words and phrases, kept separately

Single words and whole phrases live in their own sections, because phrases need different practice. Every word remembers where you found it.

  • Save from articles in one tap — with the article as the source
  • Save from any website on iPhone or Mac via a Share-sheet shortcut
  • Phrases from series and videos saved whole, not word by word
  • Synced across all your devices

Word Forest

Find out which words you really know

Walk through the Forest — a bank of common English words by level. Mark what you know; the rest moves into your dictionary automatically and starts training.

  • Your answers power the "you know N%" estimate for every article
  • New words are introduced gently, with an example under each

Training

From "I've seen it" to "I can use it"

Every word goes through a ladder of exercises, and spaced repetition brings it back right before you'd forget it.

  • Recognise → recall → type it → use it in context
  • Phrases are typed, not picked from options — real practice, not guessing
  • A word counts as learned after two clean rounds, then a weekly check
  • Super-training: up to 10 hard and new words, mixed, until all are error-free

Questions

Who is Enlio for?

Adults who studied English before — at school or for exams — and know many words, but can't comfortably read real articles, follow long sentences or tell parts of speech apart.

Do I need to install anything?

No. Enlio is a web app that works in the browser on phone and computer. On iPhone you can add it to the Home Screen and it opens like a regular app.

Are the articles simplified?

No — they are real articles from real sources. Enlio helps you read them with key words up front, tap translations and sentence breakdowns.

Which languages are supported?

Translations and explanations are currently in Russian, with more languages planned.
